Look at what we can do with chocolate and sugar. The elephant is all chocolate while the pond scene is done entirely with sugar.
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
1 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp water
12 oz. butterscotch morsels
1. Preheat oven to 375. Cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy, scrape down sides of the bowl. Add the eggs, vanilla and water. Beat for about 40 seconds.
2. Add the dry ingredients and beat until just combined, about 20 seconds. Add butterscotch and stir till combined.
3. Drop batter by tablespoon onto cookie sheets about an inch apart. Bake, reversing position of sheets halfway through baking, until cookies are light golden brown, 8-10 minutes. Cool on sheets for 1-2 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
