Simply Sharing means to find it the “empty spaces” in ourselves and remember that if we just fill them up with whatever brings us the greatest joy and focus on gratitude, then we can hopefully discover “abundance” which we can share with others. In the spirit of abundance rather than poverty, the “loaves and fishes” story makes great sense and that miracle can happen in our lives in terms of wealth of faith as well as positive energy for personal and global resources.
Here are some great places to share/donate at this time of year: The American Red Cross, Presbyterian Giving (I am a Presbyterian Christian), Greater Birmingham Humane Society (or your local Humane Society), and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Wherever and whenever we find emptiness we have the opportunity to discover that the “void” is simply waiting to be filled. So look for ways that we can share our hearts and soul with others. A change of attitude is sometimes all that it takes to renew our lives and our energies so that together we can make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves. Sometimes even a simple “fur fix” is all it takes to warm our hearts and remind us that love comes in unexpected packages.
