Enduring love

June; the month for weddings. Time for the couple to express their enduring love to each other with family and friends sharing in this special day. In 1Corinthians 13:4-7,13:(Revised Standard Version) love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. So faith, hope, love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.  These verses are often used in the wedding ceremony to remind the couple of their love and commitment to each other.

Dale Evans wrote “The Bible Tells Me So.” She would always include this song in all her personal appearences.

Have fatih, hope, and charity, That’s the way to live successfully.
How do I know? The Bible tells me so.
Do good to your enemies, And the blessed Lord you’ll surely please.
How do I know? The Bible tells me so.
Don’t worry ’bout tomorrow, just be real good today.
The Lord is right beside you, He’ll guide you all the way.
Have faith, hope, and charity, That’s the way to live successfully.
How do I know? The Bible tells me so.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.
