Walls for the winds
A roof for the rain
Tea beside the fire
Laughter to cheer you
Those you love near you
And all your heart might desire.
Irish blessings are comforting words this month of March. Spring unfolds before us, bringing back the color green to ignite our senses. It is time to enjoy the sunshine without the humidity, a time to watch things bloom and come alive.
May joy and peace surround you,
contentment latch your door,
and happiness be with you now
and bless you evermore!
With pollen igniting my allergies, I find it all too easy to forget the the importance of the beauty of the sights outside my door. But as I stare out into nature now, I find myself pondering the intricacy of each leaf and how each plant contributes to make its own unique wonder.
May the blessing of light be upon you,
Light on the outside,
Light on the inside.
With God's sunlight shining on you,
May your heart glow with warmth,
Like a turf fire
that welcomes friends and strangers alike.
May the light of the Lord shine from your eyes,
Like a candle in the window,
Welcoming the weary traveller.
Many blessings this month friends. Blessings of green and blessings of light. May these words be small lamps lighting your path as we bound into Spring.
