God’s Love

February is the month to celebrate Black History Month, Valentine’s Day, and President’s Day. Valentine’s Day is time to exchange loving gifts, cards, and phone calls with family and friends. In I John 4:16 (KJV) the Bible states “God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God.” What a wonderful way to share our lives with others through God’s love for each other. God’s love is steadfast and unchanging. His love brings us joy, comfort, and peace. The following hymn tells of the joy of His love.

I Corinthians 13:13 (RSV) So faith, hope, and love abide, these three, but the greatest of these is love.

My Savior’s Love

I stand amazed in the presence of Jesus the Nazarene,
And wonder how He could love me, A sinner,condemned, unclean.
How Marvelous! How wonderful!
And my song shall ever be:
How marvelous! How wonderful!
Is my Saviour’s love for me!

For me it was in the garden, He prayed:”Not My will, but Thine;”
He had no tears for His own griefs, But sweat-drops of blood for mine.
How Marvelous! How wonderful!
And my song shall ever be:
How marvelous! How wonderful!
Is my Saviour’s love for me!

He took my sins and my sorrows, He made them His very own;
He bore the burden to Calvary, And suffered, and died alone.
How marvelous!, How wonderful!
And my song shall ever be:
How marvelous! How Wonderful!
Is my Saviour’s love for me.

When with the ransomed in glory, His face I at last shall see;
‘Twill be my joy through the ages, To sing of His love for me.
How marvelous! How wonderful!
And my song shall ever be:
How marvelous! How wonderful!
Is my Saviour’s love for me.

May the Lord bless you each day.
