Family Hands

Proverbs 22: 6 – Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from you. (NIV)

“A Tribute To Hands”
Author: Kay Mills

Big hands, little hands, hands that fit just right.
Warm hands, graceful hands, hands that squeeze too tight.
Grasping hands, shaking hands; an extension of your smile.

Clapping hands, creative hands, hands folded to pray.
Daddy hands, baby hands, hands that tickle in play.
Sharing hands, loving hands; an expression of your heart.

Working hands, healing hands, hands that wear a glove.
Skilled hands, talking hands, two holding hands in love.
Giving hands, helping hands; an impression of your soul.

Mommy hands, grandma hands, a gentle caring touch.
Father’s hand, a guiding hand, teaching me so much.
God created all these hands; a manifestation of His love.

Our hands express our lives.I still remember how large my father’s hands were. HIs hands were strong, yet gengle. My father would gently hold my mother’s hands as they gracefully danced across the floor. I so enjoyed watching them dance. He could hold a coffee cup easily, or softly pet the family dog. These memories bring joy to my heart.
