A Prayer of Thanks

O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy endureth forever.  I Chronicles 16:34 (King James)

November is a month to give thanks for many reasons. This is a country that can freely elect a president, a country that shows respect, pride and love for Veterans, and a country that gives thanks for freedom, love of family and friends, and generously volunteers in time of crisis. Americans are good hearted people. Through all of America's problems, God's goodness still prevails.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your goodness and love.  We rejoice in your presence and sing praises to you.  Thank you for providing a safe place for our families.  You continue to show mercy upon America. May our goodness to others continue to abound. Lord, you painted the Autumn with such beautiful color.  You have given us another harvest that we can use to help those in need.  Let us continue to pray for towns and families on the East coast that will have many more months of recovery.  You have shown us that goodness and mercy endures throughout our lives.  Thank you for family, friends, and foes. May we strive to give kindness, goodness, and love to everyone.

In His Holy name,
Amen
